School History

The Great China Foundation International Schools Onitsha , situated at No 21 Onitsha-Atani Road Iyiowa Odekpe Ogbaru L.G.A. was established in July 1997 with the nursery / primary school section as her bases. The school was founded by Lady Mrs. Chinelo Ezedimbu (KJS)(JP) and Sir Gabriel Ezedimbu (KJS). It is a co-educational institution (i.e for both male and female day Students) and it is non-denominational . It is primarily established for the attainment of the highest academic, physcal and moral par excellence - a total child training of the modern day student as obtainble at the Federal Government colleges and at International levels. The primary section was approved on the 13th December 1999 by Mr. O.U Muowa, the then director of schools (for Honorable Commisioner of Education Anambra state). Due to the passion of the founder to improve our nation via raising great future leaders through imparting and impacting high and starndard accademic excellence in our youths, the school has been nick named "An English-speaking School" by the public. The founder believes that "The best viable and investment and legacy for the future leaders is qualitative education" Owing to pressure from the society due to her academic excellency, the secondary section of the school was establish on september 2004 with Lady C. Ezedimbu (Ezenwanyi Gabez) as the Principal/Proprietress. The growth of the school is so drastic that today, the school is now a center for the following examination: J.S.C.E, WAEC, NABTEB, NECO etc. But the founder being not a mediocrity could not be satisfy by any thing called "average" hence the school is presently a learning center for Air Force , Narval Force , and Police Force examination.

Our Vision

Since illitracy is a killer diseases that have no cure except Knowledge. The Great China Foundation International Schools Onitsha was born with a passion and vision to wadge war against this diseses called illitracy. Our vision therefore , is To Eradicate Illiteracy in Our Society and Invest in Our Children the Power of Excellency through Knowledge for a Better Society and Greater Future.

Our Aims and Objective

1. To establish a school that will yield meaningful leaders of tomorrow
2. To assist the government on the eradication of illiteracy in our society through our sound education policy
3. To open a pre-nursery care unit to alleviate the problem of some civil servant nursing mothers who are deprived of job opportunities.
4. To direct the mind of our young ones on the challenges of the new millenium
